Current Research Projects:
“Research Study on Cement Industry of Pakistan- Position, Potential and Short and Long Term Prospects”
This project has been outsourced to CMA Foundation by the ICMAP Research, Quality Assurance & Ethics Committee. The Terms of Reference (TORs) have been developed and contract assigned to a consultancy firm to undertake this broad-based research project.
The scope of this study would cover important areas of the cement industry such as production capacity, production cost, local demand and supply position, per capital consumption, taxation, exports, investments, technological improvements, cost optimization, benchmarking, environmental compliance, issues of cartelisation and price fixing etc. The Study would also focus on inherent weaknesses in the cement industry, emerging opportunities and challenges, as well as the future scope of expansion in the industry.
The Research study would also provide short, medium and long-term measures for sustained growth of the cement industry.
“Guidelines for Practicing Members of ICMAP”
This booklet would provide guideline and facilitatation to the practicing members of ICMAP in knowing about the statutory requirements, key practice planning steps and selection of practice areas, according to their expertise and available opportunities. It would also help enable the members to plan, start and promote their consulting practice.
The Booklet would give a comprehensive picture of various areas where the services of a practicing member may be of value to the Government, industries, businesses and the national economy.
